An injury sustained during combat with a Shadow holds him back for a little while, but ever eager to get back into the ring, he soon recovers and returns to his place on the front lines.

The graphics have been upgraded to next-gen standards and it features many of Persona 5 Royal’s quality-of-life improvements.

Fully immerse yourself in an emotional, gripping journey with new scenes, character interactions, and additional voiceover. Exp: Experience. Used to level up. There is pelo way to confirm how the Exp system works as of this version of the guide, but here is what is assumed to be the Exp system.

During battle, both the ability to take direct control over party members as in Portable, as well as enabling the CPU to dictate their behavior as in the original game and FES, are available. The battle user interface has been completely overhauled to take functional and stylistic inspiration from Persona 5, with the commands "Persona", "Item", "Guard" and "Attack" each corresponding to different buttons in a similar fashion. In addition to the returning "Analyze", "Tactics", "Target" and "Rush" commands from prior iterations of Persona 3, a "Survey" and "Assist" function have also been added. Persona 3 Reload implements an improved variation of the "Baton Pass" skill from Persona 5 in the form of the "Shift" ability mapped to the left trigger. "Shift" enables the current active party member to pass their turn onto another character after successfully landing a hit on a Shadow enemy that knocks them Down, allowing the next party member to potentially knock other enemies Down if they are in certain formations.

The next major gameplay component of Persona 3 that Persona 3 Reload revamped was the dungeon crawling. I remember Tartarus in Persona 3 FES being a repetitive slog as every floor from top to bottom was a never-ending series of samey corridors with different colored wallpaper.

Finally, we have the inclusion of the brand-new Theurgy mechanic. Theurgies are special super-moves that characters can activate after filling up a gauge by attacking an enemy or fulfilling special conditions.

Overall, I really enjoyed all the gameplay improvements and additions Persona 3 Reload has brought. It’s made combat more enjoyable and less stressful since I don’t have to worry about AI making decisions for my comrades.

Harness the lethal precision of a bow and arrow to take down enemies from afar. Even better, utilize stealth and deception tactics to disorient your foes in strategic ambushes.

Fans of the Persona series will already be familiar with the style of gameplay that this title helped pioneer, including time management with your duties in the day, and turn-based combat that is influenced by those day-to-day social interactions.

We scored this a nove because of the voice acting, amazing animated cut scenes and overall story. The repetitiveness towards the end was the main reason this was not a Masterpiece for us. At the end it got slow and we had to push ourselves to finish it. Now there are two paths and if had chose to persona 3 reload gameplay end the game early, we probably would not have felt this way. However we wanted the best ending and took longer then we both expected. This was still a solid game and we both enjoyed the game.

So, before a full moon arrives, you must prepare for each major boss Shadow encounter by training your party in Tartarus, keeping their gear updated, and creating new Personas for you to use.

As she is the head of the fencing team, she wields one-handed swords in battle. Her unique Persona is Penthesilea, specializing in ice and healing skills.

While these two segments may feel somewhat separate, your social interactions during the day will often have an impact on your stats and relationships in the combat and dungeon-exploring elements of Persona 3 Reload
